Meriton Associates are working with a respected regional contractor to recruit a Pre‑Construction Planner. This is a strategic role within a well‑structured pre‑construction team, offering the chance to shape tender programmes, influence project methodology, and contribute to winning work across commercial, education, healthcare and mixed‑use sectors.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing tender programmes and logistics strategies for new build and refurbishment projects.
- Working closely with bid, design and estimating teams to ensure realistic and competitive planning.
- Attending site visits and client meetings to assess buildability and sequencing.
- Supporting bid submissions with clear, compelling programme narratives.
- Advising on phasing, temporary works, and construction methodology.
- Helping transition successful bids into live project planning.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in pre‑construction or tender planning within a main contractor environment.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, buildability and logistics.
- Proficiency with Asta Powerproject (or similar planning software).
- Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- A proactive mindset and interest in shaping how projects are won and delivered.
