Regional Main Contractor
Meriton Associates are supporting a respected regional main contractor in their search for an experienced Design Manager to join their growing pre‑construction and delivery teams. This is a key role within a business known for delivering high‑quality build projects across commercial, education, healthcare and mixed‑use sectors.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of design coordination across both pre‑construction and live projects, ensuring buildability, compliance and smooth information flow between consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading design coordination from early concept through to handover
- Managing drawings, specifications and technical submissions
- Driving buildability, value engineering and technical problem‑solving
- Chairing and contributing to design team meetings
- Ensuring compliance with H&S, quality and regulatory standards
- Working closely with project, commercial and site teams
- Supporting bid submissions and pre‑construction planning where required
About You
- Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator
- Strong technical understanding of construction processes and detailing
- Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder‑management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Contractor, consultancy or architectural background all considered
- BIM/Revit experience beneficial but not essential
