Meriton Associates has been retained by a highly respected and forward-thinking construction and development consultancy to appoint a commercially astute Associate Director to join their growing senior team.
🏗️ The Opportunity
Our client delivers comprehensive consultancy services across all stages of the development and construction lifecycle. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee major housing and infrastructure projects — from land acquisition through to technical design, approvals, construction and final handover.
You’ll manage a capable team, while engaging with national housebuilders, commercial developers and high-net-worth individuals.
✅ Your Experience
We’re seeking a confident, technically strong individual who brings:
- Proven experience in housing development, infrastructure delivery (roads, drains, utilities), and land/planning negotiations
- Excellent knowledge of JCT and preferred knowledge of NEC, and bespoke forms of construction contract
- Capability to manage consultants, oversee cost reporting, tendering, and contractor management
- Strong communication skills to lead client reporting, chair project meetings and resolve issues swiftly
- Ideally a professional qualification such as MRICS or MCIOB but not essential
- A natural aptitude for leadership, motivation and developing client relationships
